COMING THIS AUGUST!!! Mosaic Artist Gila Rayberg will be in the Edmonton area for CAME 2020 (Canadian Annual Mosaic Exhibition) and will be teaching a workshop at Wow Factor Mosaics August 7th, 8th & 9th, 2020. Gila travels extensively across North America and internationally teaching workshops and showing. She will be leading a class in the technique known as Picassiette - making mosaics incorporating broken dishes and pottery. The class will provide students with materials and instruction as they create a portrait (either human or animal). The cost is $485.00(G.S.T. will not be added) and there will be a nominal materials fee of $25.00. Students will supply a few basic mosaic tools, all other materials are supplied. Some experience is helpful, but not required. Beginners are welcome. Space is limited, so reserve your spot early to avoid disappointment! Trivet Workshop - Ideal friends night out, team builder for your workplace or birthday party!
Make an 8" x 8" mosaic mounted on ceramic tile in this easy, one evening fun workshop.. Choose from a selection of materials (travertine, marble and glass shown here). Can be used as a trivet to protect your tabletop or counter when preparing or serving hot dishes. Suitable for beginners - no previous experience required. All materials provided. Class is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, and your creation will be dried, grouted and ready for pick up within a few days.
