Custom Mosaics Edmonton and area
My Studio at 33 Rayborn Crescent, St. Albert. The building houses an artists' collective, and I share the space with painters, paper makers and mixed media artists - it's a great working environment!

When I decided in 2015 to leave the world of conventional work in favour of making mosaics full time, a friend texted "Great to see you stepping into where your head has lived for far longer."
WowFactor Mosaics is the coming together of a lifetime of making art, a love of the materials of mosaic, and my degrees in interior design and art history. Glass, stone, tile and found objects - some new, some repurposed, some picked up in unlikely places - often inspire the outcome themselves. The first project I completed was my bathroom wall and vanity countertop...the wall a spontaneous floral explosion, the counter a more peaceful curvilinear rock stream. Without exception, everyone who saw it said "Wow!", followed by some further comment or question. After hearing the same response several times over, I realized this new endeavour already had a name, and Wow Factor Mosaics was born. Carol Donald |
